Bandai Namco Games Europe has announced a worldwide distribution agreement with UK developer Slightly Mad Studios for Project CARS, the impossibly good-looking crowdfunded racer due to arrive in November this year on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Wii U.
“With a portfolio of prestigious, popular, and iconic titles under their wing, Bandai Namco are the perfect partners to bring our pioneering community-driven game to players around the world,” said Slightly Mad Studios boss Ian Bell in a statement.
Project CARS, an acronym for "Community Assisted Racing Simulator", features a dynamic weather system plus time-of-day effects, a wide range of car types and racing, realistic race weekends, and what Slighty Mad Studios claims is the largest track roster of any recent racing game. Project CARS will also support both Oculus Rift and Project Morpheus.
Its exact release date in November is yet to be confirmed.
