The massively popular MMORPG Dragon Quest X is coming to the 3DS in Japan on September 4, Square Enix has announced onits website.

Like the smartphone version of the game also out in Japan, Dragon Quest X will be entirely powered by the cloud, and support cross-platform play across the Wii, Wii U and PC. It will cost 3800 yen and requires a subscription to play, but will include a certificate with a redemption code for 60 days of free play upon purchase, and a lottery ticket which can be redeemed for in-game items. The subsequent subscription models are 350 yen for three days, 650 yen for ten days and 1,500 yen for 30 days.

There's still no word on a Western release for Dragon Quest X, but dammit, we want one.
