Playcast Media has announced that its cloud gaming app for Amazon Fire TV is now in public beta.
The app streams games directly from Amazon's servers to your Fire TV, and has an emphasis on triple-A releases. The screenshot below suggests that games such as Sleeping Dogs and Darksiders 2 will be available. Though no specific games have been confirmed, Playcast says it is licensing games from publishers such as EA, Ubisoft, Konami, Square Enix, Disney, and more.
"Playcast brings gamers what they really want," says Playcast Media CEO Guy de Beer. "Lag-free, console-quality HD, AAA brand name titles."
If you own a Fire TV and are interested in testing out this cloud gaming tech, you can register at Playcast's website. A launch date and pricing details have not yet been set for the final release of the app, but it's estimated that prices will mirror the $10-$15 monthly subscription rate of Playcast services currently available in Europe and Asia.
