Hyrule Warriors characters will receive a plethora of alternate costumes from iconic games in The legend of Zelda franchise as retailer-exclusive DLC, it was revealed in a Nintendo Direct today.
Club Nintendo members who buy The Legend of Zelda and Dynasty Warriors hack-and-slash mash-up within four weeks of launch will receive a set of alternate Ganondorf costumes for free. Alternate costumes will also be available as exclusive pre-order DLC from select retailers. Alternate character skins teased during the Nintendo Direct includes outfits from Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword. Nintendo is expected to share more details about pre-order bonuses in the coming weeks.
The recent Nintendo Direct announced an Adventure Mode and confirmed Ganon, aka Ganondorf, as a playable character in Hyrule Warriors. Players will have the ability to level up characters to increase health and skill. Crafting badges from material collected from defeated enemies increases a weapon’s attacks, extends combos or adds Focus Spirit time.
The presentation also revealed that Chain Chomp will appear as a weapon and that players will be able to visit familiar locations, such as Skyloft from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Lake Hylia from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Twilight Field from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
Hyrule Warriors will launch on September 19 in Europe and September 26 in North America for the Wii U.
