The BBC has said it's planning to release its iPlayer app on Xbox One before the end of the year.
Executive product manager Marcus Parnwell wrote on the BBC blog about some of the aims of the revamped app.
"Back in March, we started rolling out a new version of BBC iPlayer: designed for a multiscreen world, so the experience is consistent, but optimised across PC, tablet, mobile and TV devices," he explained. "We’ve had some great feedback so far."
UK gamers have been waiting for an update about the app ever since it was revealed it wasn't one of the announced launch apps. The BBC iPlayer service has been available on Sony's PlayStation 4 since it launched back in November 2013.
