The Bethesda press conference began with something special for all FPS games lovers. Marty Stratton from id Software introduced us the new Doom! He was getting a bit nostalgic talking about what we loved about the old Doom games, what we felt, and want we want from a new game: "badass demons, big effing guns, and moving really, really fast!" That was his cue to show us a long gameplay trailer of the single player campaign.
People were excited during the whole presentation of the trailer, you could hear them scream "oh" and "wow" when the player got chainsaw and ripped apart arms and cut through alien bodies. But that was not all. Marty Stratton let us know that there is also a multiplayer side of the game that will feature the known modes like Deathmatch and Capture the Flag. More info on the multiplayer will be coming in the next months but here is a sneak peek:
We're not done, yet! Marty has even more to say. Players can now "build and instantly share their own creations" on every platform in Doom Snapmap. You can create modes, missions, and more with a nice and easy to use (so it seems) map editor, you can add predefined or custom gameplay, and insert logic to let the AI know what to do.
Sounds awesome? Yes it does! And if you think, "meh, but I wanna see more gameplay?", well, Marty welcomes us to Hell:
And you want to know when this game will be out? Here another trailer:
I can't wait for this! I stay excited until Spring 2016!
