First released in 2010 on PC and Xbox 360, Tommy Refenes, co-founder of Team Meat, announced today that Super Meat Boy is coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita this Fall.
Overall, the game got awesome critiques from almost every bigger gaming magazine/website. The 2D platformer lets you control Meat Boy, who is on a mission to save his beloved Bandage Girl from his evil nemesis Dr. Fetus. In over 300 levels, the player will get some frustration and giggles out of the brutal but yet funny and good-looking game.
After all those year absent to any PlayStation console because "Team Meat wasn’t allowed to bring it to PS3 for very complicated reasons" as Tommy Refenes describes it, PlayStation Plus subscribers will get the game as a part of the IGC when Super Meat Boy launches. Great, great news! There is no word on cross-buy and prices, yet, but it really looks like it will be cross-buy, and cross-save, given that the game presumably launches on both consoles at the same time.
