After yesterday's leaked screenshots of a feature called Vote to Play, which looked like it lets you choose what game you wanted the most for next months PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection (IGC), seems to be a real thing.
On the PlayStation Blog, Chris Howe, PS Store and Plus Content Manager of SCEE, wrote that Vote to Play will be a feature of future PlayStation Plus IGCs starting next month. With Vote to Play you can vote for a game of three on your PlayStation 4. Now, to choose from are PlayStation 4 titles only, not PlayStation 3 and Vita games.
The game with the most votes will enter the IGC automatically. The other two games get discounts on the PlayStation Store exclusively to PlayStation Plus members. Vote to Play will not happen monthly "but will take place at regular intervals throughout the year", writes Howe.
What games and when the first vote will start is yet to be announced. This may be a good step to please PlayStation Plus members but also could be very one-sided if two indies are up against a AAA game. Only the future can tell the outcome of this new feature, we're excited!
