G2G: Evolved is made up of people like you and me, being workers, students, just doing the everyday hustle. That's one main influence in the choice of a Game of the Year since we can't really follow all the titles that come out in the year. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Dying Light, Life is Strange are games I couldn't get to play this year but they have my honorable mentions.
This year, one game, out of a franchise that is really near and dear to my heart, has clearly won my personal Game of the Year award. It's none other than Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
The sad and infuriating story about Kojima aside, this game is the everything a Metal Gear Solid fan would have wanted. More Snake, more sneak (!), and more action. Granted, the story falls a little behind the gameplay but that was kind of expected being a sequel to Peace Walker on the PSP/Vita.
Hell, even the online mode is something worth your time because it keeps you excited to play another round, and another round, and another one.
